Repairing a broken toilet handle is aĀ quick and easy task. All you’ll need is a new toilet leverĀ kick. There are no tools necessary forĀ this repair. To get started turn off theĀ water to the toilet and empty the tankĀ then remove the pieces to the old lever. When removing the handle keep in mind that the threading is reversed so youĀ will turn it clockwise to loosen it. NextĀ insert the new lever and secure it withĀ the lock nut. This tightens by beingĀ turned in a counterclockwise direction. Connect the flapper chain to the rod andĀ test to make sure it lifts the flapperĀ correctly. Turn the water back on to the toilet. Once the tank is refilled test the newĀ setup to make sure it works and makeĀ adjustments to the chain as needed.
