Our Favorite Things To Do In Forney

Forney is one of the fastest growing cities in North Texas, and is where we call home. It has tons to offer for a small town. Summer events in the park, a wonderful historic downtown, and great boutique shopping. Here are our favorite things to do in the lovely town of Forney Texas.
 
One of the greatest attractions of Forney is the small town events that are scheduled to bring the community together. While most events are seasonal, everything that is scheduled during the year is always a blast for the whole family.
 
Upcoming events that are a hit during the summer time are the Movies and Music in the Park which rotate every weekend starting in May. If you have little ones that need to run off some steam before the event starts, there is a great playscape that has separate playgrounds for toddlers and older children, a walking trail, and a splash pad for the kiddos to run through that doesn’t close until 8 PM!
 
If hanging out in the Texas heat with the fireflies isn’t your scene then you can take a short drive over to the new Eno’s Pizza Tavern located in the heart of downtown for dinner and a craft beer. Don’t want to stop there, there is a delicious bakery around the corner where you can get some a slice of delicious cake while visiting Latham Bakery, you can drive about a mile through town to Small Cakes for a delicious cupcake, or you can head into the busier part of town and build your bowl full of your favorite flavor of froyo and toppings at Sweet Frog.
 
Ladies, whether you are looking for a new antique piece for decorating the house or a boutique style blouse, Downtown Forney is where you need to check out. Within steps of each other you will find Groovy’s (cute and affordable boutique style clothing for women), Doxa, and on Saturdays you will find the Downtown Forney Artisan and Farmer’s Market.
